Wait what? Progress?

Wow I forgot.

Well I have been on vacation and I finished harker awhile ago and posted it up on the 40k form. I have just been busy with other stuff and duplicate posting here was just too much. I did snag the new codex about a week early and got to work making my lists I have 4 2000 point lists all running many chimeras and I got a huge Vallajo paint set for graduation from my fiancee's family and I have been painting as soon as a I got back from my vacation. Its fair because she got Sims 3 about 3 hours after we got back. And started on her crafting projects too.

May 9th,

This morning I managed to put together the heavy bolter. All I need to do now is greenstuff it and put my seal of approval on it.



I took the lasgun arm and hacked off the las gun. Then I placed the stubber  receiver in the arm.


I made the gas return out of the tubes of the flamer. Then i drilled out the top tube so the barrel can fit through.


The barrel is a vox caster antenna with the tip cut off and the barrel drilled.


The barrel and the gas return together.


The gun assembled.


The magazine is a simple grenade launcher mag with around 1/4 cut out of it.

The heavy weapon backpack has basically 2 packs. I made it so the bottom pack is the spare magazine for the heavy bolter.

My idea for Harker is to make him look like Animal Mother from full metal jacket. I never thought I would make a Baldwin for 40k.


My idea is to use some flamer parts to make the gas return for the bolter with an areal barrel. The body will be the heavy stubber with a grenade launcher drum mag and this will all be put into the lasgun right arm. The rest will be Catchaned all up.

Got the army now.

I have the whole army made for tourney (I have to model extra armor the chimeras but that is it). Now its time to paint it, just have to get do it and not interrupt my school.

I have been busy. I made the last 3 storm bolter troopers in my IG army for the tourney.

So I have had a horrible distraction. A tourney is comming up in a month and I need to have 7 more storm bolters and more then double my storm troopers. So far I have added 4 storm bolters and added 3 plamsa storm troopers and 1 meltagun storm trooper. One plamsa gunner and melta are the stock guys so I didn't take any pics of them.

So the old school IG stormtroopers are only from gamesworkshop. So I got the new ones ordered and in the mail.

For this I am postponing the catchans and making this army WYSIWYG. I just updated my 10 storm troopers making greenstuff knee pads and retrofitted 4 more storm bolters. Now all I will need is to get a few more storm troopers make 3 stormie vet sgts and buy some classic stormies from the war store tomorrow. Going to be a wicked awesome list.

I have already started on my next 10 troops. They are going to be great coated (SP?) and I have 4 of them with coats on them and they are looking good. I do not have pictures of that but I do have pictures of the painting progress I had earlier.

Progress damnit progress!

Well today I am sick and once I got out of bed I went right back to sleep on the couch until after noon. Missed school and did just about nothing. So I did some work on some catachans and my sents and hell hound. Well I didn't get working on my hellhound but I did finish my second squad of catachans and started to work on my sentinels. No progress today on the horehounds. This week I planed on doing some school work but I think its going to be a minimum due to the huge headache I have and the fact that my bones and skin hurt.

First Squad Completed (flamer/H bolter). I am starting on the second Catachan squad (flamer/missile launcher) and I am working on my last 3 sentinels and my hellhound. I think the next group will be either winter warriors or storm troopers.

I HAVE HAD PROGESS BUT NO PICS

I built the scratch Valkyrie. Started painting my last 3 sentinels. Painted 10 catachans and started on the next squad. So I have 80 more of them to get done and I think that is it. After I paint the catachans I will have to go back and repaint my Cadians because they are not painted as well. Its funny how the Catachans were my first ones and they were painted uber crappy like 1/2 inch brush of green paints and tan tops. Back then I liked making not painting.

So I have finished building all my sentinels so I can have up to 7 of them roaming about making a muck of things. 3 of them to paint and then they will be done forever.
